Story
The crew at the Embassy Theaters multiplex isn't getting a lot of work done. Instead, this group of teen slackers, slobs, and smart-asses spend their time pranking customers, tormenting their brown-nosing supervisor, inciting lobby riots, and hooking up with the candystand girls. Multiplexing traces the outrageous antics of those minimum wage kids at the movie theater who spend their days and nights sweeping up your popcorn spills and selling eight dollar boxes of Milk Duds.
Crafty, laid back Dave is the leader of the less than stellar Embassy staff that includes Kirk, who earns extra cash selling stolen movie posters on eBay; hashhead candystand workers Craig and Walter; 70-year old, hip-hop loving doorman Baumann; snarky Debbie and her sexually-charged best friend Missy; and the sage-like Mulligan -- a mysterious figure who's been haunting the theater since the 80's.
As the crew gears up for another summer of stampeding crowds, after-hours hijinks, and other on-the-job absurdity, Dave wonders if he's somehow outgrown this place. But his uncertainty is put aside when he sets his sights on Julie, a new cashier who thinks Dave's immaturity negates his charm. And when the sadistic new manager reveals the theater's been chosen to host a big Hollywood premiere, Dave soon finds himself vying for Julie's affection and struggling to stay employed. Now, with the chance to host a red carpet event and all their jobs on the line, the cracked Embassy crew must band together to outwit their new boss before he cleans house and squashes all the fun.
